Basic Operation
Adding a Second Radar
Sensor
To provide increased protection for bigger
vehicles like pickup trucks, sport utility
vehicles, and recreational vehicles, an
additional SEC-8345 Dual Sector Radar
Sensor can be added. The second radar
sensor can be turned on and off as needed
for added flexibility.
Note: The radar sensor is not waterproof. If
this radar sensor is to be installed
outside the vehicle, it must be encased
in a waterproof enclosure. Consult
your Alpine dealer for more informa-
tion.
Turning the Second Radar
Sensor On and Off
Arm the system.
While the system is armed, press and
release the TX/PANIC and EXT1/VALET
buttons on the remote control transmitter.
The siren will acknowledge receipt of the
command by chirping the siren:
•
twice to indicate that the second radar
sensor is on.
•
three times to indicate that the second
radar sensor is off.
Note: Even if the security is disarmed and
rearmed, the second radar sensor will
remain in the same state until the
above procedure is repeated.
