8. Place the four PE foam blocks as spacers in the chassis members.
See figure 3.
9. Position the supports E and F and attach them at points O, G and H,
then fit the whole thing without fully tightening.
10. Position the member section, including the supports I, J, and K and
attach them at points L, M, N and P.
11. Fit the ball hitch, including socket plate.
12. For W164 vehicles, the following applies: Fit the bumper inner fit-
tings to the supports A and B at points R.
13.
Tighten all nuts and bolts to the torque indicated in the drawing.
14. Fit the section removed.

NOTE:
* Should this installation process entail the cutting of the bumper – con-
formation MUST be obtained by the installation engineer of the custo-
mer's acceptance prior to completion. Brink Towing Systems do not
accept responsibility for any matters arising as a result of this miscom-
munication.
* All measurements are in mm!
* The dealer should be consulted for possible necessary adjustment(s)
"of the vehicle".
* Remove the insulating material from the contact area of the fitting
points.
* Consult your dealer for the maximum tolerated pull weight and ball
hitch pressure of your vehicle.
* Do not drill through electrical-, brake- or fuellines.
* Remove (if present) the plastic caps from the spot welding nuts.
* This fitting instruction has to be enclosed in the vehicle documents after
fitting the towbar.
* Brink is not liable for damage caused directly or indirectly by incorrect
assembly, including the use of unsuitable tools, the use of other
assembly methods and means than the ones outlined, and the incor-
rect interpretation of these assembly instructions.

MONTAGEANLEITUNG:
Vor Beginn des Einbaus ist anhand der Typplakette der Anhänge-
kupplung festzustellen welches Bild in der Einbauanleitung maß-
gebend ist.
1. Die Seitenwände aus dem Kofferraum entfernen.
2. Den Fußboden im Kofferraum frei machen.
3. Die Stoßstange abmontieren. Siehe Abbildung 1.
4. Für W164-Fahrzeuge gilt: Auf der Unterseite der Stoßstange einen
Teil aus der Mitte gemäß Abbildung 2 herausschneiden.
5. Die Stoßstangeninnenverkleidung einschließlich Stoßstangenhalter-
ungen abmontieren. Siehe Abbildung 3.
6. Für W164-Fahrzeuge gilt: Die Stoßstangenhalterungen links und
rechts von der Stoßstangeninnenverkleidung abmontieren. Diese wer-
den nicht mehr benötigt. Siehe Abbildung 3.
7. Die Halterungen A und B der Anhängervorrichtung in das linke und
rechte Langsträger einsetzen und bei den Punkten C und D befesti-
gen. Alles halbfest montieren.
8. Die vier PE-Schaumblöcke als Dichtung in den Fahrgestellträger eins-
etzen. Siehe Abbildung 4.
9. Die Halterungen E und F anlegen und befestigen und bei den Punkten
O, G und H befestigen. Alles halbfest montieren.
10. Den Trägerteil einschließlich Halterungen I, J und K einsetzen und bei
den Punkten L, M, N und P befestigen.
11. Die Kugelstange einschließlich Steckdosenplatte montieren.
12. Für W164-Fahrzeuge gilt: Die Kunststoffinnenverkleidung auf die
Halterungen A und B bei den Punkten R montieren.
13.
Alle Schrauben und Muttern gemäß den Angaben in der Abbildung
festdrehen.
14. Das Entfernte montieren.
