This portable welder is a professional power tool. DO NOT let
children come into contact with the tool. Supervision is required
when inexperienced operators use this tool.
The device can be set up and operated outdoors in accordance
with IP 23 degree of protection.
The device is tested to IP 23 protection, meaning:
- protection against penetration by solid foreign bodies with
diameters > 12.5 mm (0.49 in.)
- protection against direct sprays of water at any angle up to
60° from the vertical
Avoid direct wetting (e.g. from rain). The welder must be set up in
such a way that cooling air can flow freely through the slots in the
front and rear panels.
Charging the Welder
WARNING: Electric shock can be fatal. Do not open the charger.
NOTICE: The onboard battery must be fully charged before using
the welder for the first time.
The welder is designed to be connected to a power supply and
charged exclusively via the D
WALT DCWB009.

1. Connect the charger to a mains power supply.
2. Connect the charger to the
connection socket (D) on the
back panel of the welder.
NOTE:
Once
connected,
standard charging mode will
start automatically. If Quick
Charging is needed press the
quick charge button (Z). For
more details refer to Charger
Operating Modes.
3. Allow welder to charge until the
COMPLETED indicator (W) on
the charger is illuminated.
