When synchronizing to an external word clock generator,
connect that generator to the device that is the clock master in
the Dante network.
•
If a device synchronizes to its internal clock, an external word
clock or another clock that is not on the Dante network, always
set check marks for the "Enable Sync to External" and "Preferred
Master" items on the Clock Status page of the Dante Controller
Network View screen.

Set Dante Clock Slave devices in the following manner.
• Set the device to synchronize with the Dante network.
• Do not synchronize to an external clock generator or the
device's own internal clock.
• In Dante Controller remove the check marks for the "Enable
Sync to External" and "Preferred Master" settings.
CAUTION
The only device that can synchronize to the external word
clock generator is the one that is the Dante Clock Master
in the Dante network.
