GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
For your own safety and to prevent unnecessary damage to your appliance, please read and
observe the following safety instructions:
Intended use and environmental conditions:
This TV set is designed exclusively for the reception and reproduction of picture and sound sig-
nals. It must not be operated in rooms with high humidity (e.g. bathrooms or saunas). The war-
ranty is only valid for use in the specified permissible environment. If the unit is used outdoors,
make sure that it is protected from moisture (rain, dripping and splashing water). High levels of
moisture cause leakage currents inside the unit. This may result in a risk of contact with voltages
or fire. If you have brought the machine out of the cold into a warm environment, leave it swit-
ched off for about one hour because of the possible formation of condensation. Do not place any
objects filled with liquids or burning candles on the device. Depending on the mounting or stand
solution you have chosen, there is a risk of crushing between the TV casing and the stand. When
turning the TV set, make sure that no fingers or objects are within this area. Batteries represent
a potential risk of suffocation. Do not allow children to open the battery storage compartment.
Transportation:
Hold the unit by the edges of the housing at the top and bottom. The display is made of glass or
plastic and may break if handled improperly. No warranty is given for damage caused by external
influences.
Power supply:
Incorrect voltages can damage the device. This unit may only be connected to a power supply
system with the voltage indicated on the type plate using the correct 12V unit connection cable
or the enclosed power cord. The mains plug of the TV set must be easily accessible so that the
unit can be disconnected from the mains supply at any time. When you remove the mains plug,
do not pull on the cable, but on the plug housing. The cables in the mains plug could be da-
maged and cause a short circuit when they are plugged in again. Lay the mains cable so that it
cannot be damaged. The mains cable must not be bent or laid over sharp edges, must not be
walked on and must not be exposed to chemicals - the latter applies to the entire unit! A power
cord with damaged insulation can cause electric shock and is a fire hazard.
