- Safety equipment is in place (motor protection).
- Check the grounding of the motor
- Check direction of rotation of the motor
- Measure the intensity of current and compare with the label
- Rinse the piping and dispose of irregularities
- Desaerate the heat exchanger
- Inspect if all connections and valves are open, and if there is heating
medium in the heat exchanger.
- Inspect the valves
- Inspect the fastenings points and the casing
- The air heater must be able to flow freely. Adjust the louvres of the
air diffuser.
After commissioning, hand over the installation and maintenance
manual to the owner.
VI. MAINTENANCE
Verco air heaters are produced with qualitative superior components.
Nevertheless we recommend to inspect regularly the air heater.
The axial fan is maintenance-free.
VII. TROUBLESHOOTING

AIR HEATERS
possible causes
• air heater is not switched on
• no electrical tension
• electrical wires aren't connected
• thermal contact is open
• the fan speed is too low
• the coil is filthy
• filter is filthy
• the fan speed is too high
• air diffuser
• air flow is hindered by an obstacle
• the fan speed is too high
• louvres of air diffuser are closed or
air flow is hindered
• bearing noise of the ventilator
• air in the heat exchanger
• the temp. of heating medium is too low
• insufficient water flow
• thermostat temperature is too low
• the temperature sensor is installed in the
sun or next to a heating source
• heat exchanger is filthy
• the temperature sensor isn't installed
on a right place
• the temperature of heating medium
• other heating elements with a separate
control system are connected to the same
circuit
Annually, before the beginning of the winter :
- Inspect the operation of the motor
- Inspect all the electrical connections
- Inspect the grounding of the motor
- Inspect the heat exchanger on pollution and clean if necessary.
!! In case of cleaning the heat exchanger : don't deform or bend the
fins. When the heat exchanger is cleaned with pressured water, don't
aim the jet of water at the motor or electrical components (eventually
take down the motor).
- Inspect the valves and the heat exchanger on leakages.
- Desaerate the heat exchanger
- Filter must be checked monthly and cleaned when necessary.
In case of dust, the filter can be washed with a neutral detergent.
The frequence of cleaning depends of the dust concentration in the
room.
- Inspect the outlet grille and clean if necessary.
- Inspect the operation of the speed controls and thermostats.
- Check all the fastenings.

• let the motor cool down, restart the air curtain
• adjust a higher fan speed
• clean the coil fins
• clean or replace the filter
• adjust a lower fan speed

• call a specialist
• desaerate the heat exchanger
• switch on or inspect the pump / deaerate the installation
• inspect the pump / inspect the water circuit and adjust the
pressure loss
• adjust to a higher temperature
• install the sensor on a right place
• clean the heat exchanger
• install the temperature sensor on a representativ place
for the room
• correct the outside temperature curve
• adjust the heating medium flow. When it isn't possible with
a valve to the heating element, or with an increase of the
pressure in the installation, stabilize the medium flow.
