GENERAL USE

the crown clockwise. The power reserve (C) increases in proportion to the winding. It

the movement before the power reserve hand reaches the "top" (or maximum) gradua-
tion. This will prevent any risk of damaging the mechanism whilst optimising the accuracy
of the watch.

crown in the desired direction.
USING THE TIMER (hours, minutes and 10
The timer (or chronograph with two central hands) is used to measure a short time
from a chosen moment.
Pressing initially (P1) on push-piece E at moment T triggers the timing operation. The
minute hand (F) indicates the minutes timed from moment T on the large, 60-division
graduation. The hour hand (D) indicates the hours timed on the same graduation. A spe-
cial graduation broken down into ten sectors (at the centre of the timer) indicates, with
the minute hand (F), the 10
of an hour. This original graduation is used in certain profes-
ths
sions which count the hours on a decimal scale (see diagram below). Pressing again (P2)
activates the timer reset.
Comment
: the timer appears to be stopped after resetting.
Hand F can only be seen moving after timing for two minutes. This difference corresponds
to the mechanism's precision tolerance.

DISMANTLING THE STRAP AND ITS TWO FASTENERS
Your watch comprises three assemblies:
Assembly 1: the main body of the case
Assembly 2: the bezel, a sort of "cover" for the case
Assembly 3: the two strap fasteners (K)
Two types of screw are used to assemble the three:
The four split-head screws (G) fix the cover to the case body and ensure that the watch
is water-resistant.
Caution
Bell & Ross warranty.
The four hollow-head screws (L) (hexagon slot/1.3 mm in diameter) attach the strap to
the fasteners (K). These screws may be handled with care by using the two appropriate
tools supplied with the watch in its presentation case.
IMPORTANT
Water-resistance
. Once the time has been set, push the crown back to position 0.
The crown should never be manipulated under water.
MAINTENANCE
It is advisable to rinse the watch and its strap carefully in fresh water after every immer-
sion in sea water. It is also advisable to have the water-resistance of your watch checked
every two years. To guarantee service in compliance with brand requirements, any work
on your watch must be carried out by the Bell & Ross repair centre or a Bell & Ross-
approved watchmaker. You should present the Bell & Ross warranty card, duly dated and
signed by the retailer when the watch was purchased, for any work within the warranty
