Filters
hepasilentplus™ technology makes the Blueair sense incredibly quiet.
The unit comes with hepasilentplus™ filters already installed, including
one pre-filter and one main filter.
Pre-filter. The pre-filter removes dust, pollen, pet dander and other large
airborne particles.
main filter. The main filter removes airborne pollutants including dust, pol-
len, pet dander, bacteria, mold spores, viruses and other airborne particles.
The filters are made of polypropylene, which help mechanically filter out air-
borne particles. To maximize filter effectiveness, particles are negatively
charged before reaching the main filter.
Both filters also include active carbon filter sheets to remove gaseous pol-
lutants such as cigarette and cigar smoke or other voCs (volatile organic
compounds, including household paints and other chemicals).
For optimal performance, Blueair recommends that you replace the
filter every six (6) months.
