Changing the skirt
Since the skirt ist the part of your hovercraft having contact to the ground it wears just like tires on a car. Small holes can be
easily repaired with duct tape from the inside of the skirt (See repair advice). If there are too many holes in the skirt, or you
want to run your hovercraft on water we suggest to change your skirt, since it will take too much water. New skirts will be
available on our website www.ikarus.net or from your hobby-shop.
First you have to remove the 2 nylonscrews in the brake pad on the bottom plate. Seperate the upper and lower hull
(Picture 2)
The skirt ist fixed with double-faced adhesive tape to both sides of the lower hull.
Carefully remove the old skirt from the lower hull and try not to damage the Acropor®. Be sure to remove all excessive
tape relics.
Now put double sided tape on the lower hull according the pictures 3a und 3b but only remove the protection fi lm on the
top(picture 3a)
Slide the lower hull into the skirt, position it carefully, try to avoid wrinkles and start fi xing it at the rear middle.(3a)
Now remove the protection fi lm on the other side (3b) and also position the skirt carefully without wrinkles, since they have
a very negativ affect on the running characteristics..

Put the hull halves together again, reposition the brake-pad on the lower side an fi x it all with the 2 nylonscrews and
washers..
