WARNINGS TO BE RESPECTED
TOXIC EFFECTS:
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is a colourless, odourless and non-irritant gas, which is classified as a chemical poison
and its action directly causes hypoxia if exposed to it. CO is rapidly absorbed by the lungs and spreads around
the body. It has many effects on health (changes in cardiovascular function, headaches, sickness, reduced
mobility in the limbs, convulsions, coma and death).
CAUTION :
- The detector must be frequently tested to make sure that is working properly.
- A detector located far from a bedroom will not wake up a heavy sleeper.
- The consumption of alcohol, as well as some medication or drugs can alter a person's ability to hear the
alarm.
- For maximum protection, you must install a detector in every room where people sleep, and on every floor of
the building.
- Although the detector can save lives, it does not exempt the owner and tenants from taking out suitable
insurance for themselves and their property.
- This device detects carbon monoxide only. It is not used to detect smoke, fire or any other gases.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries. Only use the batteries indicated in this manual.
- The device does not in any way eliminate the need to install, use and maintain suitable ventilation and
evacuation systems.
WARRANTY:
- This detector is guaranteed against all manufacturing faults for 2 years after the purchase date.
- In the event of a manufacturing fault, and for the period of the warranty, SCS Sentinel will replace the product
upon presentation of the sales slip.
- The device is placed in the custody of the user, the MCS responsablility Sentinel can be sought at some tracks
whatsoever, if not previously demonstrated that the device was used according to requirements its use.
- Please contact an experienced person if you have any doubts about the safety or operation of the devices.
WASTE DISPOSAL:
- Do not throw away batteries, discarded equipment and packaging with household waste.
- Use selective refuse collection facilities.
- During installation, keep all packaging away from children and animals. It could be dangerous.
This device is designed to protect individuals from the acute effects of carbon monoxide exposure.
It may not fully protect individuals with specific medical conditions. If you have any doubts, please
