Preparation
Unpack the full package contents and check that everything is there and intact. Device
overview Page 12.
Always transport/ship the thermostat in its original packaging to avoid damage. Keep the
packaging for this purpose.
Dispose of packaging material no longer needed in accordance with the applicable reg-
ulations. If you detect any transport damage, immediately contact the dealer from whom
you acquired the thermostat.
Connecting the thermostat
1. Plug the sensor cable into the thermostat (Fig. 2).
2. Plug the thermostat into a socket so that the digital display is on the top of the ther-
mostat and easy to read off (Fig. 3).
- After plugging it in, the segments of the digital display all start up one after anoth-
er and the firmware version is shown. Then the actual temperature is shown.
3. Clean the surface onto which you want to attach the sensor. Notice any incompatibil-
ities of the surface with some cleaning agents.
WARNING:
There is a risk of fire if the sensor overheats.
- Do not position the sensor directly onto the heat source.
4. Position the sensor such that it easily records the temperature of the heat source
emitting heat while not being not exposed to direct sunlight.
NOTE:
Direct sunlight would falsify the actual temperature measured.
5. Route the sensor cable so that it is protected against mechanical damage and cannot
be tripped over.
