WILE 26 MOISTUREMETER FOR HAY,
HAYLAGE, SILAGE
1. GENERAL (GB)
Wile-26 meter will provide moisture content
information for hay, forage and silage and it can be
used on farms to measure the moisture content in
harvest, storage and use situations. With the
optional W-651 temperature probe all temperature
measurements are possible in the farming
environment.
Wile-26 is suitable for measuring moisture
contents in both loose hay and baled hay.
It is a microprocessor controlled moisture meter.
There are three different moisture measurement
probes available for W-26; a 50cm probe for
measuring conventional bales, a 90cm probe for
large bales and special dish type probe for
measuring loose hay or silage in a bucket. W-26
provides a bale density compensator that adjusts
the reading to the compaction of the bale. The
range of moisture measurement is from 10 to 73%
for 45cm and 90cm probes, and from 13 to 85%
for the dish probe. Exceeding this range is
indicated by the display.
There is also an optional external temperature
probe W-651 available for the meter.
The use of Wile-26 meter is very simple thanks to
the user friendly guiding display.
Wile-26 meter is equipped with:
-Automatic temperature compensation between
the temperature in the meter and the ambient
temperature.
-A setting which helps the user to place the
measurement accordingly to the moisture content
measured by the oven-test.
-The meter has an average calculation feature.
-Automatic power switch-off.
-Possibility to make temperature readings with an
optional temperature probe (W-651).
