ETHERMA UT 40 is an electronic thermostat designed to give
energy-efficient frost protection to pipe work where thermal insu-
lation alone cannot protect pipes from freezing or being damaged

On page 6 are drawings with assembly instructions. Please use
these drawings for installation.
› Use the correct lead-through for the connection cable and
connect the cable to the correct terminals (POWER CON-
NECTION)
O P E R A T I O N
› Set the set temperature using the main knob in the range of
0 °C to +40 °C.
› When the ambient temperature drops below the set tempe-
rature, the load output soft-starts for 1 second before the
main output relay energises. The status LED will be lit.

tight on the heating cable). Fix it with tape or tie rap.
› Use the correct lead-through for the heating cable and con-
nect it to the correct terminals (HEATING)
› When the ambient temperature is equal to or greater than
the set point temperature, the load output switches off. The
status LED will be off.
