1 Safety instructions
1.3 For special groups of people
• Special care is needed if the unit is used close to, by or
in the vicinity of children, sick people or people who
cannot help themselves.
• Never leave the unit unattended if it is connected to the
power supply.
• Do not allow children to play with the unit. The unit
must be kept away from children.
• Never allow children to play with the packaging film –
risk of suffocation!
• Do not use this unit to supplement or replace medical
treatment. Chronic complaints and symptoms may be
made worse.
• The unit must not be used in the following cases:
Tuberculosis, benign or malignant tumours, bleeding,
skin irritation, phlebitis, thrombosis, open and fresh
wounds, bruising, cracked skin, varicose veins and
indeterminate calf pain.
• Do not use the unit if you have sensitive skin or
heart/circulation problems, headaches or high blood
pressure.
• Certain stress limits apply to pregnant women.
• Consult your doctor if you have any questions
concerning the therapeutic use of massage cushions.
• If you have unexplained pain, are receiving treatment
from a doctor and/or use medical equipment, consult
your doctor before using the seat massager.
1.4 Before using the unit
• Always carefully inspect the power supply, the cable,
the control unit and the seat massager for damage
before use. Do not attempt to use a defective unit.
• Do not use the unit if there are visible signs of damage
on the unit or the cable components, the unit does not
work properly or the seat or the control unit have been
dropped or become damp.
In order to prevent hazards, always send the unit in to
the service centre.
1.5 Operating the unit
• The seat massager must only be used for its intended
purpose as described in the operating instructions.
• Using the mat for any other purpose invalidates the
warranty.
• Under no circumstances must accessories be used that
are not explicitly recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not allow the massage cushion to come into
contact with pointed or sharp objects.
• Never put the unit down next to an electric stove or
other sources of heat.
• Do not use the unit in places where aerosol (spray can)
products or oxygen are being used.
• Do not stand on the unit.
• Take care when using the heater. Do not use if you
have circulatory problems or on sensitive areas. Risk of
burning!
• If you feel unwell or experience pain when using the
unit, stop the treatment immediately.
• For understandable reasons, the manufacturer cannot
be liable for damage caused by failure to comply with
the operating instructions.
• If you give the seat massager to third parties, please
ensure that they are also given the operating
instructions.
1.6 Maintenance and cleaning
• Only use the mains adapter that is provided with the
seat massager.
• The unit is maintenance free. If a fault does occur, just
check whether the mains power adapter is properly
connected.
• If the unit becomes faulty, do not try to repair it your-
self, since this invalidates the warranty.
Have all repairs carried out by the service centre.
IMPORTANT
The device is only intended for household use
and must not be used for commercial or medical
purposes. If you have health concerns, consult
your doctor before using the seat massager.
