DESCRIPTION OF OPERATING MODES

The following operating modes are available:
Cold mode ( ); l): the cooling function is selected by pressing the "MODE" button until the relative symbol "COOL"
appears on the display. The unit begins to operate if the set temperature is lower than that of the room. Temperature
range: 18-32°C; pre-set temperature: 26°C. (N.B. Operating limit: minimum temperature of inflow air to external unit
21°C).
Dehumidifying mode ( );this function is selected by pressing the "MODE" button until the relative symbol "DRY"
appears on the display. Similarly to the "COOL" function, the unit will begin to operate in the cooling mode, and will
quickly reach the required ambient temperature. When it is two degrees above the set value, the fan automatically shifts
to minimum speed in a special intermittent mode to help dehumidify the air. Condensation may form on the delivery port
if the "DRY" function is used for a long period of time.
Ventilation mode ( ): automatically circulates the air in the room.
If the "FAN" button is pressed while the unit is working, regardless of the mode in which the conditioner is working, the
required air speed can be selected (maximum , medium , minimum , auto ).
Heating mode ( ); this mode is selected by pressing the "MODE" button until the relative symbol "HEAT" appears
on the display. The unit will begin to operate if the set temperature is higher than that of the room. The fan in the inte-
rior unit will only begin to operate when a certain temperature has been reached in the heat exchange bank. The machi-
ne will switch off for about three minutes when changing from the "COOL" to the "HEAT" mode and vice-versa.
Temperature range: 18-32°C; pre-set temperature: 23°C.
SMART mode (indicated by symbol n° 5 on the display). The conditioner automatically sets the air temperature and
speed depending on room temperature:
- room temperature 21°C or lower: the "HEAT" mode is started with a temperature pre-set to 22°C.
- room temperature 21°C-26°C: the "DRY" mode is started and the temperature falls by 1.5°C every 3 minutes.
- room temperature higher than 26°C: the "COOL" mode is started with a temperature pre-set to 26°C.
SUPER mode: the rapid cooling mode (indicated by symbol n° 15 on the display) activates maximum fan speed and
automatically sets the temperature to 18°C.
The direction of air flow and the timer can be set in this mode.
SLEEP mode: press the "SLEEP" button to set the unit to the overnight mode. The relative symbol will appear on the
display. The temperature increases (cold mode operation "COOL") or decreases (hot mode operation "HEAT") by 1°C
every hour of operation. After reaching 3°C the unit maintains this temperature through to the eighth hour of operation
in the "SLEEP" mode and then switches off automatically.
CLOCK FUNCTION: the time adjustment must be made when the batteries are inserted. The remote control displays
the adjustment and the clock face flashes until the new time has been entered.
The time setting is regulated with keys :
- press the keys once to increase/decrease the time setting by 1 minute
- press the keys for one and a half seconds to increase/decrease the time setting by 10 minutes
- press the keys for a longer time to increase/decrease the time setting by 60 minutes
LOCK FUNCTION press the "LOCK" button and the remote control will lock the last operation programmed. All the
control buttons will be deactivated, including the "START/STOP" button.
Press the "LOCK" button again to re-activate the key functions again.
