Using the ozone generator
6.2 Purifying air conditioners
➤ Place the dirty pollen filter or active carbon filter in the passenger area
during operation, or replace it completely.
➤ Switch off the air conditioning.
➤ Set the circulation mode with the fan to the minimum speed.
➤ Place the ozone generator on the vehicle floor near the air intake.
➤ Check that the voltage specification on the type plate is the same as that
of the power supply.
➤ Connect the DC plug to a DC socket.
✓ The 15 min-LED (fig. 1 2, page 3) lights up green.
If two LEDs light up, check the supply voltage.
➤ Direct the ventilation nozzles upwards and open them.
➤ Close the windows.
➤ Press the START/STOP button (fig. 1 1, page 3).
✓ The 15 min-LED flashes.
The ozone generator produces ozone for 15 minutes.
➤ Close the vehicle doors.
➤ If the air conditioner continues to emit unpleasant odours, place the
corrugated hose outlet of the ozone generator onto the external air supply
and repeat the procedure for another 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
