Tripod kit
This high quality tripod with tilting head is especially characterised by its
stability and versatility. It is excellently suited for the PhotoScope, as well
as for all other scopes.
SETTING UP
To adjust the height of the tripod, each leg has a telescoping extension which
can be pulled out by opening the lever (Fig. 1/A) on the lock (Fig. 1/B).
When the desired height has been set, relock the lever (Fig. 1/A).
SETTING THE LEG ADJUSTMENT ANGLE
Each leg can be opened at four angles. To change the angle on one leg,
move the desired tripod leg slightly to the inside and press the lock button
(Fig. 2/C) at the top of the tripod leg.
While holding in the button, select the new adjustment angle of the tripod leg
and release the button (Fig. 2/C) to relock the angle position.
ADJUSTING THE CENTRE POLE EXTENSION
To loosen the centre pole (Fig. 3/D) loosen the screw (Fig. 3/E) and set the
desired height. Tighten the screw (Fig. 3/E) to lock the position of the centre
pole.
Note: For outdoor use, especially in windy conditions, it is possible to stabilise
the tripod by hanging a counterweight (not included) on the ring (Fig. 4/F).
READJUSTING THE LEG LOCK
If the tripod leg still does not hold sufficiently after locking the lever
(Fig. 5/A) and slides in the guide tube, then the leg lock must be readjusted.
To do this:
– Remove the protective cap (Fig. 5/G)
– Loosen the lever (Fig. 5/A)
– Turn the screw (Fig. 5/H) clockwise with the special key (Fig. 5/I) located
on one of the tripod legs. A one-third turn is normally enough to achieve
correct locking.
