INTRODUCTORY REMARKS
These Mounting and Operating lnstructions in-
tended for the user are subdivided into the following
sections:

• Safety regulations

• Installation of the lower link hooks
• Operation of the lower link hooks
• General service notes
• Troubleshooting
The descriptions given in these Mounting and
Operating lnstructions only relate to the ins-
tallation and operation of lower link hooks. They
are required to be passed on together with the
tractor in the event of sale! Refer to the appropriate
manufacturer's documentation for the description,
operation, servicing, etc. of the tractor.
CAUTION
Sections of the text marked with the picto-
gram shown on the left contain safety notes
which must be observed without fail in order
to avoid accidents.
Failure to comply with these instructions
can lead to accidents, material damage
and/or personal injury.

• Only original components from
Walterscheid GmbH may be used.
• Damaged components may not be installed.
CAUTION
Weiding work to be carried out by specia-
lists only!
• Prior to any welding work, first withdraw the
plug from the alter nator and disconnect the
battery!
• Do not cool the welds.
• Either stick or gas shielded arc welding may
be used for Walterscheid lower links.
• Low hydrogen, high strength, deep penet-
ration weid is required. For stick welding use
only Walterscheid electrodes
(Part No. 094008) for Walterscheid lower
links.
Recommendation: 400 V/180A generator
power. Select the correct amperage setting.
• Recommendation for gas shielded arc
welding:

• Adjust the lower links to width of spread X
or V ensuring that they are parallel to the
ground and symmetrical about the center
line of the tractor (Fig. B).
• Note: The width of spread X/V is depend ent
on lower implement pin dia. D (table K). Se-
lect the appropriate intermediate di mension
„Y" for implements in varying categories.
• The use of the Walterscheid welding fix ture
(Fig. A/B ①), Part No. 090 940 (only for Cat. 1
to Cat. 3), is recommended.
• Mark the line of cut of the lower links
(Fig. A).
