SETUP & OPERATION

Screw the sanding pad into swivel shaft (# 10 in part list) well. (fig.5)

Release self-locking nut (# 6 in part list).
4.
To remove the sanding pad use the same procedure in reverse order.
OPERATING THE AIR-POWERED DUAL-ACTION SANDER
WARNING: Read all instructions in this manual carefully and understand them
thoroughly before using the air-powered dual-action sander.
WARNING: Always wear respiratory protection when sanding. Inhalation of dust
particles can cause many serious health problems.
1.
Only use sanding pads are specifically designed for use with an air-powered
dual-action sander.
2.
Connect the air-powered dual-action sander to the air hose.
3.
The air flow can be regulated by adjusting the flow valve at the base of the handle.
4.
Make sure that the air supply is clean, and that it does not exceed 100 PSI while
operating the air-powered dual-action sander.
5.
Keep children away from the tools and work areas.
Do not allow the air-powered dual-action sander to run free for an extended period of
time. Doing so will shorten the life of the air-powered dual-action sander.
MAINTENANCE & STORAGE
MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the air-powered dual-action sander from the air supply before changing
accessories, servicing, or performing maintenance. Replace or repair damaged parts
or accessories before using the air-powered dual-action s ander. Use only
recommended and properly rated replacement parts and accessories.
1.
Lubricate the air-powered dual-action sander daily by dripping a few drops of air
tool oil into the air inlet.
2.
Do not use worn or damaged accessories.
3.
Check the level of lubrication in the gearbox by removing the set-screw that is
located under the tool head, and top it up if necessary.
4.
A loss of power or erratic action may be due to the following:
a) Excessive drain on the air line; moisture or restriction in the air pipe; incorrect
size or type of hose connectors. To remedy these situations, verify the air
supply and follow instructions.
b) Grit or gum deposits in the air-powered dual-action sander may also reduce
performance. If the air-powered dual-action sander has an air strainer (located
in the area of the air inlet), remove the strainer and clean it.
5.
When the air-powered dual-action sander is not in use, disconnect it from the air
supply, clean it, and store it in a safe, dry, and childproof location.
