Use and functioning of the grill
Recommendation: this plancha, like all gas appliances, requires a few minimum precautions.
Never light the equipment when there is a strong wind, never place the equipment in a draft.
To avoid drafts, place the equipment in the shelter of a wall or partition to avoid back drafts.
Warning, certain parts of the equipment may be hot, we recommend wearing protective gloves.
Use your plancha on a flat surface. Before you cook, always pre-heat the equipment for 10 minutes. When you use it for the first time,
pre-heat for 20 minutes with buttons open at the highest setting. This procedure will stabilise the paint and will give off an odour the first
time it is lit. Never use charcoal or lava rocks. If when cooking the burner or burners go out, put the knob or knobs to the
When changing the gas container, check that you are far from any source of flame, test the airtightness again. While in operation, check that
the burners have not gone out. Never leave the grill unsupervised while it is operational. Use gloves and/or tools with a long reach for cooking
or handling hot elements. Accidental flames could arise while using the grill.
Accumulated fat or meat juices could set alight and char the food as well as causing excessive heat inside the hearth.
Turn the buttons to their minimum setting while the flames go down.
In order to avoid inconvenience:
Remove the fat from the foodstuffs before cooking.
If your plancha has a flat cover:
This cover is used SOLELY for protection.
If the barbecue has a flat cover, it should never in any case be closed when the plancha is in use (burners alight).
Turn off the gas supply at the gas cylinder after use.
Do not move the appliance during use.

Cleaning and maintenance

Wait until the apparatus is cold before any cleaning procedure in order to avoid any risk of burns.
Ensure that the canister taps are closed
After each use:
It is imperative to empty and clean, according to your Barbecue model, the drawer (080) AND/OR the dripping-pan (081).
Remember to put the clean dripping-pan AND/OR the drawer back in place before the next use.
Cleaning tip:
Cleaning the plancha: When the plancha is still lukewarm, take a spatula and scrape the top of the plancha, making all of the waste fall into
the dripping-pan. Clean the top of the burners, the sides of the trough AND/OR the plancha using a damp sponge (water and washing up liquid).
Do not use an abrasive product.
Every 10 times you light it:
Remove dust and soot from the inside of the piezo ignitions and clean them so that they can function properly.
Every 2 months:
The burners should be dismantled, cleaned and checked.
The air and gas passage holes and the burner holes can be blocked by insect nests, spiders' webs or dirt.
These problems can cause reduction of the heat or dangerous ignition of gas outside of the burners.
Then reassemble the burners and leave them to dry before using them again
Maintenance of burners enables correct performance and reduces rust.
Replace burners if they are not operating correctly (pierced boiler)

Transport and storage

Never move the plancha while it is use.
Wait until the plancha is completely cold before moving it.
When the plancha is not in use, ensure that the gas canister is properly closed.
During the winter, clean the grills, burners, drawer and inside of the tub.
Do not store the plancha grill with the tank; store the tank in a well-ventilated place.
When not using your plancha grill for a long time, store your product in a place where it cannot be damaged by the elements and
if possible, away from any humidity.
