USING YOUR ELECTRIC BURNER

BEFORE FIRST USE
Unpack the Electric Burner and place it on a flat countertop. Wipe the outer surface
with a damp cloth.
Turn the Electric Burner to the highest setting (position 5) for 3 to 5 minutes. This allows
the pre-use protective coating to burn off. Some odor may be emitted during initial
preheating. This is normal and will disappear after one or two uses.
USING THE ELECTRIC BURNER
Turn the temperature controller between 2 and 5 and adjust during cooking as needed.
The indicator light on the appliance will turn on to indicate that the unit is heating.
When the burner has reached the selected temperature, the indicator light turns off.
DAILY USE
Use only stainless steel, aluminum and ceramic pots and pans. DO NOT USE GLASS
COOKWARE!
Use cooking pots or pans that have a flat base.
The diameter of the pan or pot base must be a little bigger than the diameter of the
Burner Heating surface.
TO KEEP FOOD WARM
Turn the dial to 2 to maintain food at a constant warm temperature.
Turn the dial to OFF and food will stay warm for up to 30 minutes, as the plate gradually
cools down.
When not in use, turn the dial to OFF and disconnect the burner from the power outlet.
