Note: You may notice
two thin, dark lines on
the screen located ap-
proximately one-third
f r o m t h e u p p e r a n d
lower edges (these lines
are most obvious on
white backgrounds).
These are the damper
wires inside the Cathode
Ray Tube, and they are
completely normal.

Using the tilt-swivel

Note: Due to the
s e ns i t i vi t y o f t h i s
monitor to the earthﾕs
magnetic field, you
may experience mi-
nor irregularities in
the display if you
swivel the monitor
through more than
90｡ while it is on. If
this happens, turn
the monitor off and
back on again. The
display should return
to normal.
To use your Vivitron 700:
1. Press the power switch on the monitor to ON. The
power indicator on the front of the monitor lights.
Power up the computer.
2. Adjust the controls to get the best picture. Here,
you will want to experiment with the screen set-
tings to choose the ideal image size and position
for your needs. The monitor already has 7 preset
modes for the most popular settings. Illustrated
details on the screen controls can be found in the
"Screen controls and functions" section of this
manual.
With the tilt-swivel, you can adjust your monitor to
view the screen at any desired angle within 90 de-
grees horizontal and 20 degrees vertical. To turn the
monitor both vertically and horizontally, hold it at its
bottom with both hands, as shown below:
