Preparation
2.1 Unpacking
Unpack the appliance and all its accesso-
ries.
Check the contents for completeness and
possible damages.
NOTE:
Immediately contact your dealer if you have
found damage resulting from transportation.
Keep the original packaging for a possible
future shipment
ATTENTION:
Always transport or ship the appliance in its
original packaging to avoid damage. Keep
the packaging for such an event.
Dispose of no longer needed packaging
material according to the applicable regula-
tions of your country.
2.2 Setting up
Place the water kettle's base on a solid,
dry and level surface away from sources of
water and heat.

1. Put the lid onto the appliance as shown
(Fig. 2/1.).
Push the lid with its two openings onto the
two studs on the edge of the kettle (Fig. 2/
1.).
2. Push the lid back until it tangibly and audi-
bly snaps into place (Fig. 2/2.).
2.4 Connecting
1. Unravel the mains lead from the base as
far as necessary to reach the electric
socket.
WARNING:
Run the lead in such a way that it does not
constitute an accident hazard.

2. Fix the cable by pressing it back into the
exit opening of the base.
ATTENTION:
Only operate the appliance if your mains
voltage is the same as that indicated on the
aplliance's nameplate. Wrong voltage can
destroy the appliance.
3. Insert the mains plug into a socket with
ground/safety contact.
The display of the temperature set-
ting will show „EE".
This means that the base is already connect-
ed to the mains, but the kettle has not yet
been put onto the base.
4. Put the kettle onto the base so that the
plug latches into the contacts.
The
temperature
shows „OF".
Your Aquagrad is ready for use.
