A. Position of the extraction outlet while planing:
1. Loosen the locking button (2) Fig.4 to raise the arm (3) of the blade guard (9)
and release the surface of the thicknessing table.
2. Place the chip extraction outlet on the fixed table (5) Fig.4 as illustrated in
Fig.12 and tighten the two locking knobs.
3. Position the fitting (B) Fig.13 of the extraction outlet and fasten the extraction
pipe of your extraction device to the fitting. The minimum air speed of the device
for extracting the chips must be 20X/s for optimal extraction.
B. Machine settings for planing:
1. After positioning the chip extraction outlet, adjust the pass height with the help
of the handle (6) Fig.4 and the visible height scale in Fig.9. One turn of the crank
is equal to approximately 3 mm travel. while planing, the table must be cleaned
regularly to avoid the build-up of resin and other materials.
2. After a long period of work or if the wood is not fully dry, the planer may become
unable to carry along the wood.
Stop the machine immediately. Never clean the machine before dismantling it. do
not attempt to plane very short workpieces.
C. Operation:
1. Connect the machine to the power source, then lift the yellow cover of the
switch (7) Fig.4 and press the green «I» button to start the machine and begin
planing.
2. Place the wooden workpiece on the planing table.
3. Turn the table height adjustment handle to suit the approximate thickness of
the workpiece.
4. Position the workpiece on the planer table with the thicknessed face down.
5. Feed the workpiece by inserting it from the infeed table of the thicknesser.
6. Raise the planing table till the workpiece comes in contact with the grooved
roller, i.e. so that the workpiece is not blocked by the roller.
7. To stop the machine as soon as your work is completed, press the red «O»
button and close the yellow cover of the switch (7) Fig.4. Then disconnect the
machine from the power outlet.
8. After the machine has come to a complete stop, remove the build-up of chips
and sawdust on the planing table.
TiPs:
- At the first pass, limit the maximum thickness to 2 mm, by turning the planing
table adjustment handle. Each turn of the wheel will raise the table by about 2 to
3 mm.
- Make two square reference faces and avoid planing against the grain, especially
knots.
- Support the wood as it comes out of the planer with a support stand to avoid the
formation of a heel at the end of the workpiece.
- The dimensions on the rule show the approximate thickness of the wood; turn
the planing table adjustment handle depending on the desired pass depth and
repeat the cycle till the desired thickness is achieved (equal thickness over the
entire length).
- Make sure that the planing table is always clean.
- If working on several workpieces, pass all the boards at the «same thickness»
without altering the adjustment, and repeat the cycle till the required thickness is
obtained. Pass one board after the other, without changing the settings of the pla-
ner. The driving roller will feed the wood through the planer. because the wood is
not uniform at the start, your machine may stall. In this case, disengage the drive
and switch off the motor. Lower the planing table slightly and take the workpiece
out. Reduce the pass and repeat, making up gradually for the thickness removed.

1. The fence angle may be set from 0 to 45° with the help of the graduation (A) on the angle guide and the indication gauge (b) Fig.14.
2. In Fig.15, the machine is illustrated with the fence at an angle of 45°.
3. To set the angle, loosen the locking handle (C) Fig. 16 and set the required angle.
4. Then, remember to tighten the handle (C) to lock the guide in position.
