GENERAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

This installation manual is intended for professionaly competent personnel only. Read the instructions carefully before
beginning to install the product. Packaging materials (plastics, polystyrene, etc) must not be allowed to litter the environ-
ment and must be kept out of the reach of children for whom they may be a source of danger. Before beginning the installation
check that the product is in perfect condition. For repairs or replacements of products only original spare parts must be used.
Periodically check for correct operation of the manual release mechanism.
1. INSTALLATION
Installation of the SPRINTBAT battery kit allows the automation to continue operating even when the power supply fails.
NOTE: when there is mains power, the batteries are kept charged using the control panel.
• Connect the SPRINTBAT battery kit control board to the control panel.
• Insert the battery kit into the housing and secure it using the supplied screws as shown in fig. 1.
• Make the electrical connections, as shown in fig. 1.
• Connect the power supply and the batteries to the automation at least 30 minutes before starting up the system in order to
charge the batteries.
• Check that the automation works correctly using the batteries when the power supply is disconnected.

NOTE: to access the compartment housing the 230 V power supply connector and the F1 fuse, remove the SPRINTBAT battery

OFF
Anti-panic mode.
With the mains power supply off, the
automation will carry out an opening
operation at low speed.
If the door is opening or closing,
the low speed opening operation is
automatically performed when the
first open command is received.
When the door is open, the power
supply is disconnected from the
control panel.
The battery kit ensures correct fun-
ctioning of the door until maximum
battery efficiency is reached. When
the batteries are flat, the automa-
tion will carry out a last closing
operation at low speed. Once the
operation has been completed, the
batteries are disconnected and the
control panel remains de-energi-
sed.

ON
Continuous mode.
With the mains power supply off,
the battery kit will guarantee conti-
nuous operating (see DIP2).
Energy saving.
If the door remains closed for more
than 2 minutes the battery kit is au-
tomatically disconnected.
To return to normal operating, an
impulsed KEY command must be
given.
