3.3. Safety instructions for operation

 Protect the appliance from moisture. Do not use the
appliance in the rain or in extreme moisture. Do not cut damp
or wet grass.
 Always wear the safety equipment described in the operating
instructions as well as tight-fitting clothing, sturdy shoes and
long trousers when using the appliance.
 Before starting work, check the site for any foreign objects
or animals and remove any items that could be thrown up,
damage the cutting mechanism or which could wrap around
the strimmer spool.
 Make sure that the vents are free of debris. If necessary, switch
off the appliance and clean the vents.
 Always keep at a sufficient distance to the cutting tool.
 Keep other people and animals at least 15 m away from the
cutting area to prevent hazards due to thrown items.
 Keep the handles free of grease and dry.
 Alway operate the appliance with both hands.
 Ensure sufficient lighting and visibility during operation.
 Always hold the mains cable out of the working area and
guide it to the rear away from the appliance.
 Trip hazard. When walking backwards, look out for obstacles.
 Do not work above hip height. Always work upright; do not
lean forwards or backwards while working.
 Keep in mind that the cutting tool runs on after switching off.
