Fuel Gauge Battery Packs (Fig. D)
Some FACOM battery packs include a fuel gauge (11) which consists of three green LED lights that indicate the level of charge remaining in the battery pack.
The fuel gauge is an indication of approximate levels of charge remaining in the battery pack according to the following indicators:
To actuate the fuel gauge, press and hold the fuel gauge button (11) . A combination of the three green LED lights will illuminate designating the level of
charge left. When the level of charge in the battery is below the usable limit, the fuel gauge will not illuminate and the battery will need to be recharged.
NOTE: The fuel gauge is only an indication of the charge left on the battery pack. It does not indicate tool functionality and is subject to variation based on
product components, temperature and end-user application.
Operation
Instructions for Use
WARNING: Always observe the safety instructions and applicable regulations.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, turn under-bonnet light off and disconnect battery pack before making
any adjustments or removing/installing attachments or accessories. An accidental start-up can cause injury.
Attaching Under-bonnet light to Automobile Hood (Fig. E)
Unfold the under-bonnet light and attach the hook
extends out from the housing. Once the hooks extends past the edge of the hood, slowly allow the hook to slide back into the housing (do not release the hook)
until it attaches to the hood of the automobile.
CAUTION: Ensure area between extended hook and under-bonnet light is clear before releasing hook.
Power Button (Fig. A)
To turn the light on, press the power button
turn the light off.
Motion Sensor (Fig. A)
To turn the motion sensor on, press the motion sensor button
has occurred for 3 minutes and will automatically turn the light off. Motion Sensor will automatically turn off if not triggered after 4 hours.
Adjusting the Orientation of the Under-bonnet light (Fig. G)
Once attached to the automobile hood, the light can be rotated to the desired position. The rotating mechanisms are located in the base of each hook.
Detachable Work Light (Fig. A)
For even greater illumination of your work, a detachable work light
worklight is charged when a FACOM 18 volt battery is installed in the under-bonnet light.
Under-bonnet light Storage (Fig. F)
The under-bonnet light folds down for storage. Ensure center joint is clear of obstruction before folding. To secure folded under-bonnet light, align tab
receiver
until they snap together.

Low Battery Indicator

As the battery nears a fully discharged state, the light will blink twice and then dim, dropping the brightness of the light below the normal level. The light will
continue to blink twice every 45 seconds until the battery is fully discharged at which time the light will turn off. Indication time will vary based on battery pack
capacity.
