the pipe connections and minimise the vibrations transmission to the
building.
• To isolate the module and allow adjustments and servicing, interpose
valves on the suction and discharge lines.
• Connect the sludge disposal pipe on the provided funnel. If it is longer
than 5 m, use a larger diameter to avoid any obstruction and to ensure
proper operation of the module.
• Whatever the configuration of the installation (new or old), the mod-
ule must be by-pass connected on the network return (Fig. 2).
• The diameters of the pipes to which the SiClean Comfort is connected
must be at least as large as those of the module itself. The suction
nozzle must be on the bottom part of the main pipe, the discharge
nozzle on the upper part (Fig. 2). The distance between the two noz-
zles must be at least equal to the height of the separator, to avoid tur-
bulence in the pipes.

Improper electrical connections can lead to fatal electrical shocks.
• Have the electrical connection established by an electrician
approved by the local electricity supplier only, in accordance with
local regulations.
• Observe the installation and operating instructions for the acces-
sories!

Even when the main switch is in the "off" position there is danger-
ous voltage at the mains.
• Content of local or general regulations [e.g. IEC, VDE, etc.] and the
local power supply companies have to be observed..
To make the electrical connection, the corresponding installation and
operating instructions and attached electrical circuit diagrams must
be observed. General points to be considered are listed below:
• The type of current and voltage of the mains connection must comply
with the details on the type plate and the circuit diagram of the
switchgear.
• The electrical connecting cable must be adequately dimensioned
according to the total power of the SiClean Comfort (see type plate).
• As a protection measure, SiClean Comfort must be earthed according
to the rules (i.e according to the local regulations and circumstances).
The connections intended for this purpose are identified according
(see circuit diagram).
• The base frame has to be connected to earth by using an earth braid
linked to the frame (Fig. 1, pos. 11).
Main connection
The 4-wire cable (L1, L2, L3, PE) must be provided onsite. The con-
nection is made at the main switch (Fig. 3, item 1) at higher power at
the dedicated terminals, PE at the earth connector.
External On/Off
Using the dedicated terminals (see circuit diagram) the switchgear
can be stopped by opening the contact (NC).
