The motor should not be run while out of the water because dry running damages the machine.
The equipment must be connected to a 220/230 V. ca and 50 Hz outlet, with earth connection.
An omnipolar switch must be used to clear tension from the filter when it is not being used and a 30
mA. differential must be used to prevent electric discharges.
3. OPERATION
The Skim-filter is designed to suck in and hold the impurities floating in the pool water. After an initial
filtration treatment (until the pool water is clean), the full volume of the pool should be recirculated once
daily.
Depending on the dirtiness, hours of filtration and pool volume, the sponges may require cleaning with
more or less regularity. When you notice that the amount of water returned to inside of the pool
decreases, then the sponges should be cleaned.
Filtering requirements depend on the volume in m
hour of the apparatus flow.
Turn the motor off for at least 2 hours between operation intervals.
The aforementioned off time should be followed in the initial filtering treatment. It is recommended to
increase the filtering time as the water temperature of the pool increases.
NEVER PLACE CHEMICAL PRODUCTS IN THE BASKET OR THROUGH THE SPONGES OR
CARTRIDGE, AS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE MATERIALS OF THE APPARATUS AND REDUCE
ITS EFFECTIVENESS.
4. WASHING THE SPONGES AND CARTRIDGE
Washing the sponges or the cartridge every week is recommended.
For washing, carry out the following:
Disconnect the equipment from the electrical outlet.
Take out the float and frame to extract the sponges or cartridge.
Put the sponges or cartridge under a bolt of water with a low-pressure rubber garden hose, until
they are clean (Fig.3).
Before putting the sponges or cartridge back into the apparatus, clean the inside of its seating with
the rubber hose.
Make sure it is positioned correctly according to the specified order, in the case of the sponges.
After various washing cycles, subsituting the sponges or cartridge could be necessary.
5. CHLORINATOR
This consists of an opening container in which chlorine tablets are placed. The chlorinator is positioned
on the Skimmy water outlet; thanks to the Venturi effect, water is recalled from the chamber where the
tablets are positioned. This way, the efficiency of the tablets is considerably increased.
