Your Iomega Power Pro RAID System comes preconfigured as RAID 5, which offers the best balance between capacity
and data redundancy. If desired, you can reconfigure the drive to use RAID 0, RAID 0+1, or RAID 5 + Hot Spare. For best
results, Iomega recommends that you decide which volume configuration is right for you and change the setting before
you connect the drive. Changing the RAID type is a time consuming process and will erase all data on the drive.
1. If you do not want to use RAID 5 with your Iomega Power Pro RAID System, change the RAID configuration, then
return to the connection instructions on this page.
CAUTION! Changing the RAID configuration will erase all data on the Iomega Power Pro System.
NOTE: If you change the RAID configuration, format the Iomega Power Pro System after connecting it to your
computer.
2. Connect the included power cable to the back of the drive. Place the drive on a stable surface and connect the power
cable to an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or power outlet.
3. Identify the appropriate cable and connect it to the back of the drive. Never connect the drive to the computer with
more than one cable.
4. Connect the other end of the cable to a port on your computer. The cable can be connected to the computer while
the computer is running. Connecting the drive to a hub is not recommended.
NOTE: Make sure the power switch on the back of the drive is ON.
5. The drive should appear as a single drive letter in My Computer, Windows Explorer or on the Mac Desktop. If the
drive does not appear on your computer, refer to Troubleshooting.
NOTE: If you have changed the RAID on your Iomega Power Pro System, you must format it before use.
6. After the drive is recognized by the operating system, insert the Solutions CD and install the software you want to
use. If the CD menu does not open automatically, launch the Start program on the CD.
7. The Iomega Power Pro is ready to use. Save or drag and drop files to the drive as you would to any other drive
attached to your computer.

2. Connectez le câble d'alimentation inclus à l'arrière du lecteur. Placez le disque sur une surface stable et connectez
le câble d'alimentation à un ondulateur (UPS) ou à une prise secteur.
3. Identifiez le bon câble et connectez-le à l'arrière du lecteur. Ne connectez jamais le lecteur à l'ordinateur à l'aide de
plusieurs câbles.
4. Connectez l'autre extrémité du câble à un port sur votre ordinateur. Le câble peut être connecté à l'ordinateur alors
que celui-ci fonctionne. Il n'est pas recommandé de connecter le lecteur à un concentrateur.
REMARQUE : Vérifiez que l'interrupteur d'alimentation à l'arrière du lecteur est sur ON.
5. Le lecteur doit apparaître en tant que lettre de lecteur unique dans le Poste de travail, l'Explorateur Windows ou sur
le bureau du Mac. Si aucune icône n'apparaît, consultez la rubrique Dépannage.
REMARQUE : si vous avez modifié le RAID sur votre système Iomega Power Pro, vous devez le formater avant
l'utilisation.
6. Une fois le lecteur reconnu par le système d'exploitation, insérez le CD Solutions et installez le logiciel à utiliser. Si
le menu du CD ne s'ouvre pas automatiquement, lancez le programme Start (Démarrer) sur le CD Solutions.
7. Le Iomega Power Pro est prêt à l'emploi. Enregistrez ou glissez-déplacez des fichiers sur le lecteur comme sur
n'importe quel autre lecteur connecté à votre ordinateur.
