Read these instructions carefully before using the product for the first time.
Always keep this instruction manual with the ZARGES container. Always include
this instruction manual when passing the ZARGES container on to other persons.
This ZARGES container is developed for safely storing and transporting lithium-ion
batteries and has been tested with lithium-ion batteries with a nominal capacity of
up to 814 Wh.
This container is suitable for the storage and transport of lithium-ion batteries.
It can also be used to store damaged or defective lithium batteries. This container
may only be used in its complete form, along with the dividers and interior fittings.
According to the specification of BAM 18027024-1, this case may be used for
transporting one lithium battery that is liable to decompose rapidly, give rise to
dangerous reactions, cause fire, develop dangerous levels of heat, or release toxic,
corrosive or flammable gases or vapours. You can request a copy of the regulation
from ZARGES. For transporting other dangerous goods, please take note of the
enclosed instructions Fbl 10/36. Furthermore, current regulations concerning
dangerous goods transport must be observed.
Any use other than those described under "Intended use" is considered improper.
The user of the packaging bears sole responsibility for any risk of damage arising
from improper use.
• Please contact ZARGES if the container is visibly damaged or if the labels are
no longer legible.
• Store the container away from flammable objects and install smoke detectors.
• Place the container only on a non-flammable surface.
• Place the container at least 30 cm away from flammable materials.
• Always keep the container locked; only open it briefly for loading.
• In case of gas leakage, leave and seal the affected room immediately (call the
fire brigade if necessary).
• Critical batteries must be transported by specialist companies and trained
personnel.
• The regulation concerning transport of critical batteries is to be requested from
the manufacturer.
