OPERATION
• Release the emergency stop button (1) by turning the key clock-wise.
• Press the button (2). The shredder is ready for operation when the green lamp (3) lights up, provided that:
- the feeder flap (13) is dosed
- the waste bin (10) is not completely full
- the front panel (9) is dosed.
• Start the shredder by pressing the green button (4).
If paper Is not pulled in, turn the phase inverter (14) on the mains plug (15) 180°.
• The shredder has got two feed openings. Waste paper baskets can be emptied into the shredder by opening up
the top cover (flaps open). Do not throw in any metal or plastic parts! - Paper only!
When the cover is opened, the shredder is automatically on stop mode by means of the security
contact!
• For piles of paper or reel paper there is a feed opening just below the top cover. When such paper is to be
shredded, the support shelves (12) can be folde upwards.
• As soon as all the paper has been shredded, switch the machine off by pressing the red button (5).
• Should the cutter mechanism jam, switch the machine off and press the white reverse button (6) until the cutters
are freed. Open the feed flap (13) and after cutters have come to a halt, remove the jammed paper. Feed the
paper back in, in smaller quantities.
In the event of danger, press the red emergency stop button (1). Unlock by turning the key clock-
wise and press the button (2).
The shredder turns off automatically when opening the front panel (9), the feeder flap (13) or the
filled waste bin (10).
• When the waste bin (10) is full, open the door (9), pull out the waste bin (10), and insert a new plastic sack
(11). Push the waste bin (10) back into place and close the door (9).
MAINTENANCE
The drive mechanism must be cleaned and relubricated after approx. 1000 hours, but no later than 6 months
operation (shorter periods if the work load is specially heavy). Please contact the service department of the nearest
DAHLE dealer.
In the event of a fault, again please contact the nearest DAHLE agent.
Should the shredder lose efficiency lubricate the cutter from time to time. Smear oil over the whole cutting surface
or shred oil-saturated paper.
We recommend thin-bodied mineral oil with corrosion protection-inhibitors (viscosity: 30-40 wt). An appropriate
oil can be ordered under order No. 00.20790.
