Transfer pipettes
Handling
1. For blister pack variants: Open the blister at the opening tab marked with corrugations. This tab is located on
the side of the suction bulb of the transfer pipette.
The transfer pipette can be grasped by the suction bulb and removed from the blister pack.
2. Press in the suction bulb of the transfer pipette.
3. Dip the tip of the transfer pipette into the fluid you intend to transfer.
4. R elease the suction bulb, allowing the vacuum created to fill the transfer pipette with fluid.
5. Transfer the tip of the transfer pipette into the target vessel and press the suction bulb again to release the
fluid.
6. Dispose of the transfer pipette in accordance with the regulations of your facility.
Restriction
The accuracy of the droplet size and the graduation is ±15%. Transfer pipettes are therefore intended for
transferring undefined fluid quantities. For pipetting exact volumes, a piston pipette with a suitable pipette tip
should be used.
Disposal
Wearing disposable gloves and other personal protective equipment reduces the risk of infection.
Follow the regulations of your facility.
General hygiene guidelines and legal regulations for the proper disposal of infectious material should be
observed and complied with.
Contaminated transfer pipettes must be disposed of in appropriate biohazard disposal containers. Follow the
regulations of your facility.
