Body........................................... Selenese, 30% fibre glass
Bowl............................................ Polysulfon
Materials are not hazardous to health when used within specified conditions.
INSTALLATION
Before installation the operating conditions of teniperature, pressure, etc. must be checked for
confom1ity with the Technical Data. The filter should be mounted securely in an accessible and
visible location upstream from regulators and lubricators and near components being served.
Strain on pipe work and fittings should be avoided and directional flow aIlows observed. For op-
timum filtration the filter should be mounted where the air has been cooled as much as possible
before filtration. Always mount a 5 µm and a 0.01 µm filter as prefilters before the activated car-
bon filter. With cyclic demand systems the filter should be insta1led upstream of directional con-
trol valves. Air1ine piping should be the same size as unit ports with airflow in the direction of
the arrow.
MAINTENANCE
Activated carbon filter should be checked/replaced after each pe-
riod of 400 working hours at max. Flow or if oil vapor or odor is
observed. Use, quality of air and condition of the other filters at
examination may indicate adjustment of the maintenance interval.
Before attempting to service any unit, shut-offthe air supply and
exhaust the system completely. Unscrew the filter bowl (2) and
pull out the filter cartridge (1). Replace with a new filter element, if
necessary. Reassemble filter and turn on the air supply. Inspect
.
for leakage
WARNING
Disposal of non metalic materials must be caIrried out in an ap-
proved manner. Burning may generate toxic fumes. Activated car-
bon filter does not eliminate C0/CO² or other toxic gases or fu-
mes.
For use in compressed air systems only. Not to be used where
pressures and temperatures can exceed those listed under '.Tec-
hnical Data".
