Possible Problem
Volume level is set too high.
Sound source is distorted.
Battery is weak.
Full-featured remote is not pointed toward
the speaker system.
Volume on the device is set too low.
Source selector is not set to AUX.
Static electricity, momentary interruption of
power or abnormal operating conditions
may be responsible.
Solution
Decrease the volume.
If the iPhone or iPod original sound source (MP3) is of poor quality, distortion
and noise are easily noticed with high-power speakers. Try a different audio
source such as a music CD.
Replace current battery with a new battery.
Point the full-featured remote toward the Altec Lansing speaker system and
move within 10 feet of the unit.
Increase the volume on the device to approximately ¾ full volume.
Set source selector to AUX.
1. Disconnect the AC adapter cable plug from the speaker system's jack.
2. Place the handle in the pack position.
3. Wait 20–30 seconds.
4. Place the handle in the kick-stand position.
Reconnect the AC adapter cable plug to the speaker system's jack.
Note: See the How to Position the Adjustable Handle section for handle
positions.
