sources of hazards.
-
This appliance is for domestic use only. Any other use is considered unsuitable and may be dangerous.

HOW TO MAKE COFFEE
1) Check that the coffee maker is cold. Then unscrew it, holding the water container with one hand and turning the
coffee pot anticlockwise with the other hand (Fig. 1).
2) Disassemble the filter basket and, to prepare a full batch of coffee, fill the container with water up to but not above
the valve (visible inside the water container) (Fig. 2).
To prepare half a batch, fill the container with water up to the circle underneath the valve (Fig. 3).
RECOMMENDATION: Use soft, fresh water. Salt or hard water will spoil the taste.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the coffee maker without water in the container. Use hot water to make coffee in less
time.
3) Place the filter basket in the container (Fig. 4).
When preparing half a batch, insert the disc (L) in the filter basket (Fig. 5).
4) Fill the filter basket with ground coffee, without packing (Fig. 6). Fill a little at a time to avoid spilling coffee.
5) Spread the coffee evenly and remove any excess coffee from the edges of the filter.
IMPORTANT: For Moka coffee pots, use good quality coffee with a medium grain size.
6) Tighten the coffee maker firmly, without overtightening, holding the container with one hand and turning the coffee
pot clockwise with the other hand, without pushing on the handle.
6
7)
Place the coffee maker on the base (Fig. 7). Close the lid.
8) Press the On/Off switch (Fig. 8).
The indicator light shows that the coffee maker is operating.
9) The coffee will start to exit the tube in a few minutes.
10) When the coffee is ready, stir it to give a uniform flavour before serving. When preparing only half a coffee maker,
this should be left on the base for about 5 minutes after the coffee has percolated into the pot so that it can reach
the perfect temperature.
11) When the coffee is ready, the "keep hot" function will start operating and the coffee maker will keep the coffee hot
for about half an hour. When this time has elapsed, the coffee maker will turn off automatically.
IMPORTANT: The first time you use the coffee maker, all the inside parts should be washed with hot water.
After that, make coffee a few times and discard.
THE KEEP HOT FUNCTION
When the keep hot device is used, the coffee can be drunk at the right temperature up to half an hour after the appliance
has been turned on.
This device turns off automatically when the coffee maker is separated from the base after the coffee has been
prepared. If the coffee maker is kept on the base with coffee in the pot, it can be kept hot for another half an hour by
pressing the On/Off switch.
In any case, once the coffee has been prepared, the coffee can be turned off by pressing the On/Off switch.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Before cleaning the coffee maker, wait until it has cooled after use.
Regularly clean the interior of the percolating tube.
Regularly check the filter basket and silicone gasket: replace if there are signs of wear and tear. Only use original spare
parts.
From time to time, check that the filter holes are not clogged. If necessary, clean them with a needle (Fig. 9).
Do not wash the coffee maker in the dishwasher.
Do not use solvents or abrasive detergents to clean the coffee maker.
Simply wipe with a sponge, taking care not to wet the electrical parts.
Never rinse the water container under the tap or immerse in water.
