TROUBLESHOOTING
The table below provides solutions to problems you may encounter
with the appliance. If you cannot find a solution to your specific
problem or the recommendations do not help, please contact
your supplier or info@moccamaster.eu.
PROBLEM
The appliance
is not working,
the lights are not
coming on.
Water flow to the
filter holder is slow,
the brew cycle
takes longer than
6 minutes and
produces a lot of
steam.
The glass tube in
the water reservoir
is cloudy.
Green deposit in
the water reservoir
and/or by the float.
The power light is
on but the brewing
process does not
start.
Filter holder
overflowing.
Coffee tastes weak
or bitter.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Power supply
Limescale in the
appliance.
Limescale in the
appliance.
Algae formation
due to the action of
sunlight.
There may be
various causes.
The drip-stop of
the filter holder is
clogged.
Coffee too finely
ground.
When using
decaffeinated
coffee, the holes of
the filter bag can
get clogged up.
Salt-based water
softener in your tap
water.
This water has a
higher surface
tension, which
means the water
penetrates the
coffee powder less
quickly
Incorrect dosage.
SOLUTION
Check that the plug is
securely inserted in the
socket.
Descale (possibly several
times).
Descale.
Clean: leave the solution to
soak for one hour and empty
into the sink. Brush and run
the brew cycle 2x with clean
water.

Espresso coffee is too fine
and lets the water through
less quickly. Use filter grind.
Make a smaller quantity of
