Safety instructions

Intended use
• The electric heating pad is designed for private household use as
described in this instruction manual.
• The product is not suited for commercial use in hospitals, offices,
etc. The electric pad is not a medical instrument and is not suited for
therapeutic purposes.
• Infants, toddlers, dependent persons or those sensitive to heat as
well as animals may not be warmed using the product.
• Use the product in dry indoor areas only.
Danger for children and relevant persons
• This appliance may be used by children over 8 years of age and
people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning the safe use of
the appliance and understand the hazards involved. Children may not
clean or maintenance the product without adult supervision.
• Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the
device.
• Children below the age of three may not use the product as they are
unable to react to overheating.
• The product may not be used by persons sensitive to heat nor by
other dependent persons unable to react to overheating.
Risk of electrical hazard
• The product, its control and power cable may not be exposed to any
moisture and may not be immersed in water or other liquids. Risk of
electric shock!
• Plug the product into a properly installed power outlet with protec-
tive contacts whose voltage complies with the rating provided in this
manual (see "Technical data").
• Make sure the power outlet is easily accessible so the product may
be unplugged quickly if necessary.
