- The lathe's ball bearings are lifetime lubricated, sealed, and do not need any further care. Keep the drive belt free

of oil and grease to prevent slipping on the pulleys.

6.2 Trouble shooting

Faults which occur while you are using your machine often have simple causes which you should know and should

be able to rectify yourself.

In cases of doubt, please contact our After Sales Service.

Problem

Machine does not start.

The headstock spindle does not

turn while the motor is running.

Excessive vibration.

Probable cause

- Machine is not plugged in.

- Low voltage.

- Loose connection.

- The V-Belt is broken or loose.

- The rotation speed id not correct.

-The rotation speed is too high.

- Workpiece is warped, out of round,

has major flaw, or was improperly

prepared or centered for turning

- The wood lathe is not attached

properly.

Remedy

- Plug in machine.

- Check fuses.

- Check plug and all

connections.

- Check the V-Belt.

- Check the rotation speed.

- Reduce the speed.

- Correct problem by planing,

band sawing, or discard the

workpiece.

- Shim the lathe stand, or adjust

the feet on the stand for stability
