CAUSE
Foreign matter between the small piston
and small cylinder. Damaged pusher spring
O-ring on the small piston is worn and
damaged
Tool dry, lack of lubrication
Spring on the small piston is damaged
Air pressure too low
Body/nose connecting screw is loose
Stop hook can't stop fasteners
Bent fasteners
Wrong size fasteners
Gasket is damaged
Small piston is dry
Small piston bumper is worn and damaged
Feed hook is binding
Nail length does not correspond with height
setting on lower magazine
Weld-wires in nail coil broken
Tool dry, lack of lubrication
Spring in cylinder cap damaged
Foreign matter between the piston
assembly and cylinder
Cylinder is not assembled to home position
O-ring on the valve is dry after disassembly Lubricate and reassemble

Inner diameter of hose is too small

SOLUTION
Disassemble, clean & lubricate
Check/replace O-ring & lubricate
Use pneumatic tool oil
Replace small spring
Increase air pressure, but don't exceed120
PSI
Tighten all screws
Replace the taper spring on the stop hook
Use recommended fasteners
Use recommended fasteners
Replace gasket/tighten screw
Open nail housing, place several drops of
pneumatic tool oil into the end cover hole
of the small piston
Replace bumper and lubricate small piston
Clean feed hook and torsion spring
Adjust magazine height adjusting knob on
the lower magazine
Discard coil
Use pneumatic tool oil
Replace spring in the cylinder cap
Disassemble, clean & lubricate
Reassemble after disassembling
Increase air pressure, but don't exceed
120 PSI
Replace the piston assembly
Use larger diameter hose (3/8" minimum)
Use recommended fasteners
Discard coil
