    Operating Instructions DEFROSTING YOUR APPLIANCE For most effi cient operation and minimum energy consumption, defrost the freezer compartment when the frost on the appliance walls is excessive or 1/4 inch / 3-5 mm thick (see instructions below). There is no need to defrost the refriger- ator compartment, because ice build up on the inner back wall is defrosted automatically.
