for extinguishing the fire into the fire barrel.
Make sure to always having a bucket of sand
or a powder fire extinguisher nearby in case of
emergency.
REMOVING THE ASHES
We recommend that you remove the ashes
from the fire barrel after each use. Wait until
the ashes are completely cold before remo-
ving them. The ashes can be removed as
follows: Remove the upper part and carefully
take out the ash dish with the ashes. Then
put the emptied ash dish and the upper part
back together as described in the "Assembly"
section of this user manual. Please dispose of
the ashes properly. Never throw hot ashes in
the household refuse!
CARE
In principle, the fire barrel does not need to be
cleaned. It is sufficient to regularly remove the
ashes after use as described above. If needed,
you can clean the surface of the fire barrel pre-
ferably with clear water and a soft rag. Always
dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth. Please do
not clean the fire barrel with scouring or corro-
sive cleaners, for they can modify the surface
leading to traces of rust or chemical burn.
STORAGE
Do not leave the fire barrel stand unprotected
outdoors. Over time, even stainless steel can
rust due to humidity. Moreover, rain can leave
water drops on the material. In case of rain,
wood ashes and water can also turn into an
alkaline solution (lye), which might damage
the material of the fire barrel. Store the fire
barrel only when it has completely cooled down
and when it is clean of ashes and traces of com-
bustion, and only when it is dry. Avoid water-
logging or condensation humidity.
WARRANTY
Under normal use, a warranty period of two
years will apply to the Fire Barrel Pyron from
the date of purchase. Please note that the
colour changes of the stainless steel are not
a defect. If you cannot properly use the fire
barrel due to a defect in material or manu-
facturing, you are entitled to a warranty repair.
