5.3 Power supply

For stationary operation connect the power supply unit to
the jack DC 12 V (2) and to a mains socket (230 V~/
50 Hz). If the monitor is not used for a longer time, dis-
connect the power supply unit from the mains because it
will have a low power consumption even if the monitor is
switched off.
For mobile operation connect the cable of the 12 V
rechargeable battery to the jack DC 12 V.
Note: Both the power supply unit and the rechargeable
battery can be connected to the monitor via the supplied
extension cable equipped with an on/off switch. When
using the cable, first set the POWER switch (1) on the
monitor to "ON", then, for switching the monitor on or off,
turn the small wheel on the cable in arrow direction until
it locks into place.
5.3.1 Recharging the rechargeable battery
To ensure a long service life of the rechargeable battery,
it should not be discharged completely and be recharged
after use as soon as possible. Connect the cable of the
rechargeable battery to the cable of the supplied char-
ger. Connect the charger to a mains socket (230 V~/
50 Hz). While charging, the red LED on the unit lights up.
If it flashes at intervals, the charging procedure is termin-
ated. Then disconnect the rechargeable battery from the
charger and disconnect the charger from the mains
socket.
6 Operation
1) Switch on the unit with the POWER switch (1). The
POWER LED (7) lights up.
2) Adjust the picture in an optimum way with the bright-
ness control BRIGHT (8), the CONTRAST control (9),
and the control for colour intensity COLOR (10).
3) Select the picture display with the switch (12) on the
rear: N = normal, R = mirror-inverted.
4) Adjust the volume with the control VOLUME (11).
5) After the operation, switch off the monitor with the
POWER switch (1).
