Changing FM stations
Long press the or
down the frequency band. The radio will search
for and stop at the next available station. Short
press or to fine-tune each frequency in
0.05MHz steps.
Change the scan setting
In FM mode:
Enter the menu options and select <Scan
setting>.
There are two different options to choose from:
• <Strong stations> The scan will only stop
when a strong signal strength is received,
resulting in better audio quality. It is possible
that the station you are scanning for may be
missed using this option.
• <All stations> The scan will stop at every
station it receives, even if the signal strength
is poor.
Use or to highlight your choice. Short press
to confirm.

Audio mode

You can choose which audio mode the radio
plays in. There are two modes to choose from.
"Stereo Allowed" will enable the radio to play
incoming stereo signals. Most broadcasters will
broadcast in stereo. "Forced Mono" is preferable
when the audio focus is on a single voice or
instrument.
NOTE: You may wish to select 'Stereo Allowed' if you
are listening to your radio using headphones.

Storing an FM station preset
Your radio can store up to 40 FM stations for
easy access. These presets do not affect your
BestTune™ or DAB presets.

The process is the same as storing a BestTune
preset.
NOTE: If a station is already saved under a preset,
storing a new station will overwrite the existing one.
Auto memory store (AMS)
Alternatively, you can use the Auto Memory
Store (AMS) feature to store your FM radio station
presets.
Enter the menu options and select <AMS>.
Your radio will now scan the FM frequency band
and the stations found will be automatically
stored to the preset locations.
NOTES:
– You can manually overwrite your AMS stored
presets by following the steps in 'Storing an FM
station preset' .
– For best results when using FM AMS while the unit
is charging via USB, we recommend using the
high quality bundled USB cable and a reliable DC
adapter. Lower-quality or unshielded accessories
may affect FM reception during the auto scan.
Recall an FM station preset
You can easily access your stored preset stations
when in FM mode.
The process is the same as recalling a BestTune
preset.
NOTE: If no station has been stored in the preset
and it is selected, the display will read <Preset
Empty> and the radio will return to the last selected
station.

FM display information

When listening to an FM station you can change
the information that appears on the second line
of the display. Repeatedly short press the
button to cycle through the different information
options:
• Radiotext (RT) - This is scrolling text informa-
tion as supplied by the broadcaster. This could
include artist names, song titles, contact details
for the radio station, etc.
• Program Type (PTY) – e.g., 'Rock' , 'Pop' , 'Talk' ,
or 'News'
