3. To fl ush through all the lines etc. and to rid them of any possible production residues,
we recommend the following: let two full tanks of water run through the coffee ma-
chine without any coffee powder and through the hot water dispenser and then pour
away the water. To do this, follow the instructions in the "Use" chapter.
4. Then clean the fi lter holder (2) and the coffee jug (13) with hot water and a little de-
tergent.

Use

CAUTION!
In the interest of your own safety, inspect the device for damage each time before
you use it. Only use the device if it along with its mains cable and plug have no signs
of damage!
Never switch on the device without water in the water tank! The pump may be dam-
aged. Fill the water tank at least up to the bottom marking.
Do not overfi ll the water tank! Do not exceed the MAX marking in the water tank.
Clean the device regularly in the manner described in the "Cleaning and Descaling"
chapter.
1. Place the device on a level, fi rm and heat-resistant surface. Make sure it is a suffi -
cient distance away from kitchen wall units etc. as steam will escape from the device.
2. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed, easily accessible plug socket which
corresponds to the technical data of your device. Make sure that the mains cable is
neither squashed nor bent and cannot come into contact with hot surfaces.
3. You can now brew coffee and use the hot water dispenser (see below).
Using the Hot Water Dispenser
CAUTION!
Danger of scalding from hot water! Be very careful when using the hot water dis-
penser to make sure that you are not scalded by splashing water. As the vessel also
becomes hot due to the hot water, hold it securely by the handle or use potholders.
Children should not use the hot water dispenser.

1. Open the cover (1) of the hot water tank.
2. Pour drinking water into the hot water tank (4). The amount
of water must be between the bottom and top marking of
the water level indicator (3). The MAX marking in the hot
water tank also represents the maximum amount of water
that can be poured in.
