APPLICATION
The STARIOOO is a high capacitysingle channelcommercialaccess
control receiverfor commercialdoor operators, and dry contact triggered
devices.The STARIOOO is compatiblewith Security* 2.0TM remote
controls and wireless keyless entries, Security*
Passport Lite remote controls. This receiver is compatible with
HomeLink@ . Forprogramming or compatibilityinformation visit
www.homelink.com.The receivercapacity is 1,000 devicesand can be
any combinationof remote controls and wirelesskeylessentries.The
receiveris watertight according to IPX44specification.
INSTALLATION
1. Selecta convenientlocation near the operatorto be controlled by the
receiver within "line of sight" of the intended transmitting location.
NOTE:Do not mount LCDscreenin direct sunlight. Avoid mounting
the receiverin a metal enclosure or near other wirelessreceiving or
transmitting devices.
2. Mount the bracketto the desired surfacewith appropriate hardware
(not provided) (Figure1).
3. Removethe 4 (#8) screws on the back of the receiverand removethe
faceplate.Unplugthe keypadconnectorfrom the control board.
NOTE:Be carefulnot to damagethe keypadcable while removing the
faceplate.
4. Makewiring connections (Figure2). Referto your gateor commercial
door operatorowner's manualfor more specific information.
5. Reconnectthe keypadconnectorto the board (labeledJ9).
6. Securethe faceplatewith the 4 (#8) screws previously removed.
7. Install the antennaprovided.
NOTE:Use the optional 861M or 86LMT antennaextensionkit
(seepage4) to mount the remote antennaas high and far from
metallic objectsas possible for best radio range.
8. Snap the receiver onto the mounting bracket and secure with the
(#8) screws provided.
9. Tightenthe watertight connectorto secureand seal the wiring.

Whena receiveris usedto activatea commercial door opener,a
reversing edge MUST be installed on the bottom of the door. Failure to
install a reversing edge under these circumstances may result in
SERIOUSINJURYor DEATH to personstrapped beneaththe door.
