PSSMV8 – REGULATED SWITCHING MODE CAR ADAPTER 120W
1. Introduction
Thank you for buying the PSSMV8! It is designed to convert 100-240Vac 50/60Hz power to a 15-24Vdc output, as
required by most current notebook computers. It features overload and short circuit protection to avoid damage.
2. Voltage & Polarity
! Velleman will not be held responsible for damaged or lost software or damage to a connected device.
Before connecting a device you should make sure that both the voltage and polarity are correct. Do not
change either voltage or polarity during operation. Contact your local dealer when in doubt.
a. Voltage
7 voltages are available: 15, 16, 18, 19, 20Vdc for a maximum consumption of 6A, and 22, 24Vdc for 5A max.
Check what the required voltage is and select it on the PSSMV8.
b. Polarity
The PSSMV8 comes with 6 different adapter plugs.
Select the one you need and connect it to the cable end.
The plugs can only be connected so as to obtain a positive tip
voltage. This is the most common type of voltage supply connection for notebook computers.
3. Caution
1. For use on an earthed 100-240Vac 50/60Hz mains!
2. Always double check voltage and polarity before using a device in order to avoid damage.
3. Do not use this adapter with an appliance that requires more than 120W.
4. Do not attempt to open or repair this device as it will void the warranty.
5. Connect the power cord to the adapter before plugging it into the power outlet.
6. Always switch the connected device off before disconnecting the PSSMV8.
7. The LED will light up when the PSSMV8 is connected to the mains and is set to a certain voltage.
8. Disconnect the adapter from the mains when it is not being used.

toestellen. Voor u een toestel aansluit, moet u nagaan of de gebruikte polariteit en de spanning correct zijn.
Tijdens gebruik mag u noch de spanning, noch de polariteit wijzigen. Neem in geval van twijfel contact op
met uw plaatselijke verdeler.
