With the mains plug plugged in and the
high-speed mixer switched off, press the −ON−
button (RESET) (2). The red indicator light (1)
must light up.
Press the −OFF− button (TEST) (3). The

PRCD must switch off, i.e. the red indicator light
(1) goes out.
Press the −ON− button (RESET) (2) again.

The high-speed mixer must now be able to be
switched on.
If the PRCD does not trip during the test, or if
it repeatedly switches off when the high-speed
mixer is switched on, the high-speed mixer
together with the PRCD personal protection
switch must be examined by a qualified
electrician.
5.2
Mounting the powered mixing
paddle and setting the immer­
sion depth in the tank
DANGER
Risk of injury due to electric shock.
Î Disconnect the mains plug of the high-speed
mixer before carrying out any work on the mix-
ing station.
Mounting the powered mixing paddle
Select the suitable powered mixing paddle for
the mixture.

Mount the powered mixing paddle (1) in
accordance with the instruction manual of the
high-speed mixer (2) used.
Setting the immersion depth in the tank

Hold onto the handle (2) of the machine
retainer (17).

Release the clamping lever (16).
Move the machine retainer (17) with high-

speed mixer (1) and powered mixing paddle (5)
to the required height.
Tighten the clamping lever (16).

5.3
Setting the speed or gear at the
high­speed mixer
Set the speed or gear in accordance with the
instruction manual of the high-speed mixer used
and the respective mix.

Connect dust extractor

Place the cover (1) on the tank and press
firmly until it latches into position.
Check the dust extractor to ensure that it is
working properly.
Push the dust extractor hose (3) firmly onto

the nozzle (2) of the cover (1).
NOTE

The nozzle (2) is designed to fit the suction
hose (3) of a BAIER special dust extractor.

When the extraction hose (3) is cold a good
deal of effort is required to push it onto the
nozzle (2) of the cover (1).

Operation and Control

DANGER
Risk of poisoning due to toxic gases.
Risk of explosion, burns and fire due to flammable
gases and dust.
Î Do not process liquids or materials with
unknown hazard potential.
Î Note and follow the processing, use and safety
regulations of the mixing material manufacturer.
Î When processing plastics, paints, varnishes
and similar materials, do not work near flam-
mable gases or materials.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to winding of the mains cable on
the rotating powered mixing paddle.
Î Route the mains cable to the side or rear away
from the mixing station.
Switch on PRCD switch (only included for USA
variant).
Switch on the external ON / OFF switch on the
square tube of the tank retainer (only installed
on the USA variant).
Switch on the dust extractor.
Switch on the high-speed mixer.
Gradually add the mix material and liquid to
the tank, according to the mix manufacturer's
instructions.
