IZAR RC 868 i G4 is a unidirectional radio transmitter designed for Diehl Metering meters featuring
inductive modularity.
IZAR RC 868 i G4 is designed for radio reading in mobile mode and for reading in fixed
networks, emitting information:
Every 12 seconds in R3 mode - OMS protocol for the index and alarms. Detailed

information regarding leaks and historic of consumptions are transmitted every 6 sendings.
Every 15 minutes in R4 long-range network mode.

The lifetime of the module is typically up to 15 years in standard use (non-replaceable battery).
In mobile mode, IZAR RC 868 i G4 is read with IZAR handheld PSION EP10 together with IZAR
RECEIVER BLUETOOTH and IZAR WIN CE software (version 3.3 or later), compatible with OMS
protocol. Regarding programming, the Psion handheld computer must feature the IZAR WIN CE
software program, version 3.3 or later.
In fixed network mode, the long-range R4 frame can be used in combination with the IZAR
RDC PREMIUM R4 receiver, developed especially for horizontal networks.

OMPATIBILITY WITH
IZAR RC 868 i G4 is compatible with all the meters of the modular Diehl Metering range. Meters
equipped with this modular concept have a grey ring (or red for hot water) and are marked "Ha
+Ti" or "Ti".

ROGRAMMING
IZAR RC 868 i G4 is programmed with an IZAR OH RS232 or IZAR OH BLUETOOTH.
In order to carry out the programming properly, the optical head must be positioned in front of
the diode, on the side of the radio and resting on the boss.
