SPORTS GLASSES
CASCO Nordic sport glasses are pieces of personal protective equipment
(PPE category 1 to protect users against low risks) and should be used during
biathlons, cross-country skiing, Nordic walking and all dynamic types of sport.
They have been designed and manufactured to the highest standards. They offer
protection from the cold, snow, wind, dust and damaging ultra-violet rays while
offering suitable protection against minor external blows. NORDIC sport glasses
cannot protect against strong impacts, excessively accelerated flying parts or
collision.
The glasses cover the whole eye area just about from ear to ear and are held by
an adjustable headband. The surface touching the skin is made out of absorbent
foam for maximum comfort. The shield is attached to a separate part that can be
flipped up from the main glasses frame. The distance from shield to face offers
generous air circulation throughout counteracting any fogging to the eyewear.
Side joints allow the shield to flip up like a visor.
CAUTION! Do NOT use these glasses while driving in road traffic, do
NOT look directly into the sun!
These sports glasses have been manufactured from materials for temperatures
to -20° C. These glasses will not produce skin irritation or affect those who are in
a normal state of health.
After a blow to the glasses or after a fall or after a longer length of storage the
shield, the frame and the band must be checked for damage.
Damaged, scratched or splotchy shields should not be used or should be
replaced by CASCO original parts. The same goes for frames that may have
become damaged.
Packaging, Storage
The eyewear comes packaged in a glasses case for transport. The label states the
model number, colour, shield design and shade number (filter level).
Store your eyewear at temperatures that do not exceed +50° C.
The product life of CASCO Nordic sports glasses depends on the conditions and
very much on the amount of use and level of maintenance shown by the user.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The inner side of the shield has been treated with an antifog coating. This coating
is very sensitive to damage while wet and therefore may only be cleaned when
dry with a clean, soft cloth!
The outside of the shield as well as the frame of the glasses can be put under the
tap for cleaning and then dried with a clean, soft cloth.
CAUTION! Do not ever use chemical cleaning agents or treat with
sprays!
Your CASCO Nordic sports glasses have a two-year guarantee on materials and
manufacturing. The guarantee does not cover scratches. The original sales slip
with dealer stamp and purchase date is necessary to submit a claim under
warrantee.
